Global Forest and Paper Summit 2005 - Vancouver. B.C.  June 2-3, 2005

is comprised of a series of events that will bring together senior executives from the world's leading forest and paper companies with internationally recognized thought leaders and government policy makers to discuss the key issues and challenges facing the sector globally over the next decade.

A number of events will be organized and hosted by key stakeholders in areas such as sustainability, technology, supply chain management and communications, providing a week-long series of business development opportunities.

Summit 2005 is anchored by two major conferences focusing on the current and future state of the global forest and paper industry.

The PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Forest and Paper Industry Conference will open the Summit on June 1. This well established annual Conference, in its 18th year, will focus on current industry performance and emerging issues facing the forest and paper industry in the coming year.

This will set the stage for Vision 2015: The Global Forest and Paper Industry's Coming Decade, taking place June 2-3. The Vision 2015 Conference will focus on the future of the forest and paper industry and what is required to invigorate the industry globally over the next ten years. The conference will provide an exceptional opportunity to access critical strategic business intelligence on issues shaping the global forest and paper agenda.

The event is sponsored and supported by:

Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) represents forest products companies across the country. The work of FPAC, formerly the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association, is carried out through the volunteer efforts of the CEOs and executives of member companies. These individuals work together through committees and task forces, devoting their time and efforts to common industry issues and programs. Their common goal is to increase the knowledge base of the industry and raise the standards by which Forest Products are produced.

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA)
The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) is the national trade association of the forest, pulp, paper, paperboard and wood products industry. It represents member companies engaged in growing, harvesting and processing wood and wood fiber, manufacturing pulp, paper and paperboard products from both virgin and recycled fiber, and producing engineered and traditional wood products. AF&PA's members include manufacturers of over 80 percent of the paper, wood and forest products produced in the United States.

The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI)
The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) is a non-profit organization representing 19 member countries (16 European Union Member States plus Norway, Switzerland and the Slovak Republic, an associate member). CEPI represents some 900 pulp, paper and board-producing companies from across Europe through it's member countries, from small and medium-sized enterprises to multinationals.

The International Council of Forest and Paper Associations (ICFPA)
The main goal of The International Council of Forest and Paper Associations (ICFPA) is to serve as a forum for joint action in areas ranging from communications to data collection. ICFPA members cooperate on international matters and develop and promote common positions. ICFPA's membership is comprised of trade associations in 43 countries representing industries accounting for more than 90 percent of the world's paper and more than 50 percent of the world's wood production.

PricewaterhouseCoopers
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP is recognized for its forest and paper expertise, global scope, and extensive experience with public and private companies, governments and industry. PricewaterhouseCoopers provides industry-focused assurance, advisory and tax services for public, private and government clients in all markets. More than 120,000 people in 139 countries connect their thinking, experience and solutions to build public trust and enhance value for clients and their stakeholders.

Wood Promotion Network
The Wood Promotion Network (WPN) is a growing coalition of over 315 Wood Companies, associations and allied interests that have joined together to reduce the business risk from substitution and anti-wood/forest efforts, and to grow the market longer term. The broadest coalition of its kind, the WPN represents about two-thirds of North American wood production.

The Vision 2015 Conference is produced by the GLOBE Foundation of Canada
